Custodial Services Supervisor

Position Summary: 

The Custodial Services Supervisor supervises the crew at all sites.  Is primarily responsible for the in-house and/or outside custodial contracts.

Must be knowledgeable in custodial services.  Knowledge of rehabilitation is desirable. 

For entry into this position the individual must have the following skills:  communication skills (both written and verbal) must be professional, clear and concise; reading, writing, and math skills must be at the secondary level. 

The individual must have a working knowledge of custodial services practices and must be knowledgeable of all current contracts and have knowledge of the necessary supplies equipment for each contract. 

The individual must have the ability to complete all duties including:   CPR/FA, completing all related paperwork, and be able to manage any situation that may arise.  Must have the communication skills necessary to establish a good working relationship with customers and the individuals served.  Must have ability to perform multiple task.

Qualifications: 

A minimum of a high school diploma or GED is preferred.  The individual must be able to lift thirty (30) pounds.  A broad knowledge of the rehabilitation field and custodial services field is required.  Individual must have a valid driver's class D license and up to date personal automobile insurance coverage (as defined in the TCRC Personnel Policies).  Individual must meet TCRC's commercial insurer's criteria as an acceptable insured driver.  Must be able to lift 50 pounds.

Duties and Responsibilities: 

1. Provide transportation for janitorial crews in TCRC approved vehicle and in a safe manner. 

2. Ensure security at all contracts. Responsible for all contract keys; Check out contract keys/cards each night and ensures the return of those keys/cards to the Viewe Point each night.           

3. Responsible for having a complete working knowledge of the requirements for each contract. 

4. Responsible for training clients according to program/contract standards in the Custodial Services Program. 

5. Acts as working supervisor with the janitorial crew at contracts and monitor work quality and efficiency.  This work includes but is not limited to:  dusting, mopping, vacuuming, cleaning bathrooms and floor work. 

6. Record daily client attendance for ROC's and client hours for each contract as well as daily data sheets.  All paperwork is turned in to appropriate individuals on a nightly basis.            

7. Assist clients in establishing the goals of the individuals served and then works with those individuals on a daily basis toward fulfilling their goals.            

9. Responsible for maintaining an excellent working relationship with all assigned contracts maintained in the Custodial Program. 

10. Responsible for equipment and supplies to be kept in operating order.  Removes all supplies from agency vehicle on nightly basis and completed maintenance request form for equipment requiring repair. 

12. Assist with the completing of one-time jobs when needed. 

13. Completes floor work including stripping, waxing, buffing and washing  floors on contracts when scheduled to do so or as needed. 

14. Completes daily duties of laundering the micro fiber towels, dust rags and mop heads. 

15. Assists the Director of Custodial Services in ordering Custodial Supplies for all Contract Facilities. 

16. Other duties as assigned that are not inconsistent with skills, abilities and qualifications.
