Behavioral Health Therapist

TCRC, Inc. is a not-for-profit organization that provides services and support for individuals with developmental disabilities and mental illness in central Illinois. TCRC currently has an opening for a Behavioral Health Therapist, based at our Tremont location.

This position is responsible for providing assessment, treatment, planning, therapy, and other mental health services to identified adult individuals who qualify for behavioral health services per TCRC program guidelines.

The successful candidate must have knowledge and ability to work collaboratively within a treatment team with a high understanding of confidentiality.

The candidate must be knowledgeable in outcome measurement practices, behavioral health, and clinical oversight. Although not required, preferred applicant will have knowledge in Medicaid Billing services through HFS for behavioral health services. Also not required, preferred applicant will have successfully completed 1000 hours of supervision under clinical and educational supervision.

Position requires a Master's Degree in Social work, Counseling, Sociology, Psychology, or a related human service field. The individual must be at least 21 years of age. The individual must possess the ability to communicate with adults of varying levels of ability, document fully, and write reports concerning service recipient needs and progress. Must have a valid driver's license, up-to-date automobile insurance, and be able to meet the agency's driving criteria. The successful applicant must be a self starter and have good communication skills, both written and verbal. Reading, writing and math skills must be at a post-secondary level. Must be able to pass criminal, and other, background checks.
